“And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world,
so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.”
Mission Board Vision
Successful missions work is based on partnerships. Our partnership with our missionaries is based on a common vision, doctrine, & healthy relationships with our church leaders & members. Each needs the other for mutual encouragement, support, & to fulfill the Great Commission. Our desire is to maintain the partnerships in a way that is mutually beneficial to the church, the missionaries, & the people we are serving.
It is our desire to provide missions opportunities where our congregation can feel confident in giving and/or going. It is our intention to provide mission opportunities with as much doctrinal agreement as possible, consistent integrity, & where the overall influence on visiting MSC team members would be considered positive. We want to partner with missionaries who will be a blessing to our church members & our church members would be a blessing to the missionaries.
The Mission Board, along with the church Elders, provides the missionary with the privilege of access to the congregation & their support. It is our desire to be a support & blessing to the missionaries with whom we are in partnership. This includes prayer, promotion of the ministry to our church, & counsel as needed. It is important that a foundation of trust is built & maintained where we can each speak openly & honestly in all areas of our relationship & ministry. If we are the home church, we intend to continue the home church relationship even while they are on the field. Being both a church member & missionary sent out from our congregation provides additional support & comes with additional responsibility.

International Connection We reach out to international students and scholars at Kansas University to make them feel welcome in their new home. The first Sunday of each month, we have an international lunch in our home. To welcome new students, we and churches from the community participate in airport pick-ups, a tour of Lawrence, and a housewarming (to give away household items). We also invite internationals to church and Alpha program and provide fun events throughout the year like the Renaissance Festival, golf lessons, square dancing, etc. We recruit Americans from our church to participate in the Conversation Partner program and Friendship Family program.

Frontier Missions, 10-40 Window
Frontier Missions consists of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus to unreached peoples throughout the earth. Right now, the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel among the Muslims may be the greatest missions opportunity history has ever seen. We have moved our family into this demographic to see a Church grow in the midst of darkness, to proclaim the light of Jesus Christ as the only way, truth, & life.
| For I do not count my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course & the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. | Acts 20:24
