We should lead the charge by example.

Worship is more than singing or playing an instrument well; it’s a life that expresses genuine love & devotion for our Lord and Savior 24/7. Our contemporary worship services highlight music & lyrics which declare plainly our need & our admiration. Our desire is to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit from the beginning of practice to the closing prayer so our offerings of praise & thanksgiving are pleasing to God.

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the LORD with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

Psalm 33

Chet Kueffer

Worship Director

Chet believes the worship team’s responsibility, and privilege, is to create an atmosphere conducive to worship for the congregation.  “We should lead the charge by example.” Chet received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas in Communication Studies.  He has attended the Mustard Seed since he was 4 years old, and has served on the worship team since he was 13.  He has tracked (bass, guitar, keyboards, or vocals) on over a dozen studio releases, and traveled across the country playing music. In his free time Chet enjoys watching KU basketball, running, and expanding his unjustifiably large collection of socks.

We are so thankful to have many people working behind the scenes to make all of our weekly services happen. From sound + light technicians to projectionists, it takes many to pull off a service. And to them, we say ‘Thank you!’ If you’d like information on how to become part of the team, you can email the Worship Director by clicking here.
